What is a Kettlebell?

Kettlebells are solid cast iron or steel weights that look like a cannon ball with a handle attached. They come in all sizes from 9lbs to 125lbs. They have been used in Russia since the 1700′s and have found their way into America in recent years. They are now being used by Pro football teams, the Secret Service, Mixed martial artist, Fire fighters, Power lifters, Weightlifters and everyday people just like you.

The Kettlebell uses all your core muscles which are absolutely essential for maintaining good health. Unlike any other standard weight training or fitness programs, Kettlebells reduce the risk of injury because the movements are based on functional movements. What will be covered?

Our main focus will be on the foundational kettlebell movements such as the three Swings, Clean, Press, Push Press and Turkish Get-Up. These will help you understand the workout flow, feel comfortable and confident with each movement, and know exactly what to do in each class for great combination drills to maximize strength, power, fat burning and ultimate conditioning.

Kettlebell Advanced Level 2 Workshop:

Experience the best in Russian Kettlebell training with IKFF & AKC certified teacher/coach Bob Garon.

So you’ve worked with Kettlebells for a few months or longer, or been through our Synergy Kettlebell Essentials Level 1 course, and want to progress your abilities so that your strength and conditioning continues to increase. Because you’ve mastered the basics and developed a great foundation for the advanced lifts your body is primed to go!

What will be covered?

First we will review the basics of the Swing, Clean and Pressing movements. Our main focus for the Advanced Class will be Snatches, Jerks, and Long Cycle; however you will learn Double Cleans, Sots Presses, Two-Handed Anyhow, and more.

You will learn the most efficient methods of Kettlebell Training through proper breathing techniques. We will also be focusing on program designing by practicing efficiency timed set drills to maximize strength, power, fat burning and ultimate conditioning.

Keep In Mind ===> A movement is only advanced because you can’t do it, but once you can it’s not advanced anymore.

The Kettlebell Movements You Will Learn & Assess Are:

  • Snatch
  • Jerks
  • Long Cycle Clean & Jerk
  • Work With Double Bells
  • Conditioning & Core Movements Specific To Kettlebells
  • Bent Press, Turkish Getup varieties, 2-Handed Anyhow, and More
Knowing these will instantly spike your strength, productivity, efficiency, and confidence with Kettlebells. We will be working on cleaning up your technique as well as prepare you for Kettlebell Sport competition. I will do my best to answer any and all questions regarding Kettlebell Training.

Pre-Requisites For The Advanced Course:

1) Prior Kettlebell Experience  -OR-  completed the Synergy Kettlebell Essentials Level 1 Course
2) Bring a pair of extra long wrist bands
3) Be well hydrated and don’t eat a large meal prior to coming. Water will be provided.

That’s all you need to do and then you’re all set. Kettlebells will be provided.
