Personally I am a Kettlebell Sport competitive athlete and Coach. I own and operate 2 Kettlebell Training gyms inSt. CharlesAurora, IL called Synergy Kettlebell Training. Essentially our focus is helping people get fit, stay fit and live longer, healthier lives through Kettlebell fitness piggybacked by clean, solid eating habits.

For over 13 years I’ve been professionally training and have experienced great reward in my ongoing client relationships. They are all amazing people and the reason why I do what I do.

Formerly a U.S. Naval fireman, I decided that health and fitness is my passion.  I have been given the privilege of becoming a Certified Kettlebell Coach, mentored under Steve Cotter & Ken Blackburn, through the International Kettlebell and Fitness Federation (IKFF), through the American Kettlebell Club (AKC) under Valery Fedorenko, World Champion in Kettlebell Lifting and Master of Sport with over 22 years experience, and also through the International Kettlebell Sport & Fitness Academy (IKSFA) under the most decorated Kettlebell coaches worldwide Sergey Rudnev & Sergey Rachinskiy.

Beyond my Kettlebell coaching credentials, he is also certified through the International Sports and Science Association as a Professional Fitness Trainer.

I simply explain my training philosophy as believing that the body should be trained as one, as a unit, because that is how we use it in life. Life is constantly changing; therefore, I do the exact same in my coaching and training style. My coaching, is successfully structured on every workout providing a challenge in itself to be different than the last, in order to never allow the body or mind to plateau.

Here Are The Movements We Will Be Practicing

Kettlebell Sport Workshop Week 1

  • Jerk: This is one of the most efficient means of getting a heavy object over your head. We will practice the 3 step progression to effective movement translation by breaking it down to the finest details.
  • The Finisher: Keep in mind that the majority of this clinic is teaching and practicing each movement. At the end we will culminate everything together for one epic Kettlebell Sport workout that you will always remember.
  • NOTE: You will receive a Synergy Sport Club manual overviewing the entire course.

Kettlebell Sport Workshop Week 2

  • Clean: You will learn proper bell acceleration, proper rhythmic breathing and how the proper rack position either makes or breaks your Jerk. Your wrists will thank you for this portion of the presentation, as you will learn how to never have to worry about banging your wrists with the kettlebell during this exercise, again and truly enjoy the movement of the clean ongoing.
  • Snatch: You will learn the proper acceleration timing and hand insertion as well as rhythmic breathing for a much more economical means of Snatching. Save your grip and stop banging your wrists, once and for all.  You will learn how to perform the most studied and practiced of all kettlebell exercises for longer sets, while burning a boat load of calories, improving your overall full-body conditioning, and saving your grip & wrists from an ongoing beatdown!

I never thought that a personal trainer would do anything but make sure you counted to “10″ or that you extended your arms all the way through the exercise, but Bob does much more. He brings so much more to each Synergy Kettlebell Boot Camp workout. He makes sure I stay motivated, that I concentrate, and that I have fun.
